Orthodontics is my passion, and my patients truly mean
everything to me. I am fully committed to producing

The most enjoyable part of my job is getting to know all my
patients on a personal level throughout the treatment process,
and then watching as these patients reap the lifelong
benefits of a beautiful and healthy new smile. It is my

Training, experience, and a quality
education
Before becoming an orthodontist, Dr.
Thurman earned his Bachelors of Science degree from
the University of California Santa Barbara and graduated with
highest honors. He then went on to receive his
Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of
California San Francisco, where he graduated with a 4.0 GPA and
was ranked #1 in his class. After dental school, Dr.
Thurman recieved his Master's of Science in
Dentistry Degree and orthodontic certification from the
world renowned University of Washington department of
orthodontics.
A commitment to learning and offering the most advanced
orthodontic treatments
Dr. Thurman has a passion for learning and a commitment to
being a lifelong student. He regularly attends a variety
of continuing education courses to make sure that his
patients are receiving the latest and greatest, state of the
art orthodontic care. He travels around the world
sometimes just to make sure that he is up-to-date on
all orthodontic procedures being offered. He is a proud
member of the:

- American Association of Orthodontists (AAO)
- California Dental Association (CDA)
Dr. Thurman has many interests outside of the
office
Dr. Thurman was born and raised right here in the
central valley, Fresno, CA, and is very excited about
practicing orthodontics in the beautiful Bakersfield community.
When he's not at the practice, he enjoy's
international travel, surfing, staying active and fit,
scuba diving, golf, cycling, and photography.
